Description
This fall song for kids, "Down, Down, Yellow and Brown," is a great chant to use with young students. It is a great resource in an autumn lesson for Preschool, Kindergarten, and 1st grade music classes! With the colorful pictures and the chance to choose and play instruments, your students will definitely "fall" for it!

First, students practice recognizing and performing steady beat as compared to rhythm. Then, visuals of classroom percussion instruments are shown to help guide students in creating their own arrangement and tone poem. A sample arrangement is provided as well. Several Orff rhythmic/text ostinatos are included to supplement the lesson. Also, a lesson plan with suggestions are given for guidance as needed.
