This packet of six activities includes four logic puzzles, one cryptogram, and one grid drawing sheet.
This product has been updated with the digital overlay feature, perfect to use with distance or virtual learning! It can be assigned to students in a Google Classroom. You can either use the digital overlay already created, or create your own! For more information, read here!
In the first logic puzzle is Colorful Fall Foliage, in which users solve for which tree has which color of leaf, due to which chemical. (Factual!)
In the second logic puzzle, Fall Chores, the user solves for partner and two chores that each person has to do.
In the third logic puzzle, Siblings Start School, users discover the grade level and mascot of five siblings starting school.
The fourth logic puzzle, Football Front Runners, gives eleven NFL teams and their number of all-time wins. (Factual and updated with 2014-15 stats!)
The cryptogram has twelve autumn words and an autumn quote to be decoded.
The grid drawing sheet is a picture of a boy playing football.
The academic bonus for this packet focuses on map reading skills.
The puzzles vary in difficulty and are ready to print, copy, and use- no other prep necessary! An answer key and a few tips are included. These puzzles are great to use as a filler activity, with a substitute, or after a test is given, and yet they will still challenge your students’ minds. I hope you enjoy these activities!
