Description

This Fall or Autumn Tree and Leaf Craft and Writing Fall themed Resource is a fun way for your students to display their writing skills. The are differentiated writing pages for you to choose what is suitable for your students.

A version using the word "Autumn" instead of "fall" is also included.

Pairing this Fall Tree and Leaf craft with a writing task is a multi-step project. Students will be excited to display their writing and knowledge about fall trees and leaves. This Craft and Writing resource is a great way for your students to build skills such as following directions, hand eye coordination, fine motor skills, and writing.

  1. Anchor Chart Headers and Pictures; "All About Fall/Autumn", "In the fall we like to", "I see ______ leaves", "In the fall the leaves"
  2. Writing Header (Topper) Page Black and white; have students color it then attach it to a writing page. There is also an additional coloring page that may be used for early finishers
  3. Writing Header (Topper) Page Full Color; have students cut and attach it to their writing or use it as part of your bulletin board display.
  4. Craft pieces; Print on colored paper, cut, assemble, and attach to the writing pages

Suggested breakdown for project completion;

Day 1; teach your students any background information they may need to write about fall trees and the four seasons. Use the anchor chart headers to record student responses.

Day 2; help your students complete the writing and/or drawing/coloring portions of the project.

Day 3; give your students the pieces to cut, glue and assemble. They can also attach the writing page to their craft. Your students will be so proud of their work!

OR Day 3/4; you can have the craft part of this project set up in an art center and have your students put together the craft and writing pages together the following day.
