Description
Montessori pin punching is a fun way for children to build hand and finger strength,
dexterity, and hand eye coordination. It is an activity that is often found in 3-6 year old classrooms, and even 6-9 year old students will often enjoy this work as well.
Use the larger dots for younger children. Older children can pin punch on the outline
of the leaves.
It is recommended to print out the pages on regular printer paper or light card stock.
Cut on the line to separate the two leaves.
Place on a piece of cork board to absorb the pricks of the large thumbtack/poking stylus.
Thick carpeting squares will also work.
A fun activity for older students is poking along the lines of the leaf as closely
together as they can. After the entire outline is poked out, they can gently tear along
the perforation and pop out the leaf shape. If they color or paint them beforehand, you can decorate your area with beautiful fall leaves!
