Faith: The Butterfly

Faith’s past experience with bullying does not define her, but the bullying scars go deeper than she wants to admit. As it was happening, Faith didn’t fully process the situation. She kept her emotions inside until she shattered nearly two years later. This is not healthy. Although her resilience is quite strong, no one could handle an issue like hers for much longer than she did.
Faith didn't have the right skills to deal with bullying – especially from a former friend. I’m guessing she was in shock, uncomfortable, and convinced that it would end soon, so she dealt with it day in and day out. She said that if she didn't acknowledge it, then it wasn't real. Her defense mechanism was avoidance, which never works in these situations. Her first mistake was keeping the issue from her parents at early onset.
