Description

Are you looking for an easy, differentiated book report project for beginners? If your students have never written a book report, this is just what you need! This set includes everything you need to teach your students to write a fairy tale themed book report Lapbook. A Lapbook is a fun file folder report organizer with interactive flaps, etc., to showcase the book report, and it is perfect for displaying student work on a parent night, etc. This product was created and used with children in a first and second-grade split grade class, so it works well for both grades.

We made this easy for beginning writers by scaffolding the report one sentence at a time to make it as easy as possible and to ensure success. You'll find all of the instructions, organizational tips, templates, foldables, and example pictures that you may need included in this product. There are several different ways to write the report in order to make it very easy for some children, and also make it more challenging for those that are ready for more.

Includes:

  1. Instructions
  2. Lesson plans for nine days to create the report and Lapbook
  3. Color photos of finished projects
  4. Fairy Tale book report planner
  5. Outline for writing report
  6. Two differentiated fill-in-the-blank report templates
  7. Two character traits charts with suggested vocabulary lists
  8. Templates for the Lapbook:
