Description

This comprehensive project ties together the factors of production and economic indicators of a country. Inside, you'll find a cheat sheet with vocabulary terms, guided research questions, project instructions, a grading rubric, and a sharing reflection form to explore essential economic concepts. Students select a country and research general country information, natural resources, labor resources, capital resources, entrepreneurial resources, government type (economic system), GDP, revenue, expenditure, national debt, budget surplus/deficit, inflation, unemployment, exports, imports, and transnational issues.

The guided research questions are broken down into two parts so they can be split up and completed at different times or together. To split it up, have students complete the Factors of Production Country Research Project section when you cover factors of production and the remaining project after covering economic systems and economic indicators. Didn't cover these concepts? No problem, take advantage of the included economic unit vocab cheat sheet.

After completing the guided research prompts, students will create an infographic to display their findings. Then have students share their findings orally, as a gallery walk, or digitally to learn about other countries. A sharing form is included to help students reflect on each project.

Key Features:

Guided Research Questions: Designed to ensure research covers essential topics and students gather relevant information

Practical Relevance: Extends learning beyond theory by emphasizing examples from the global economy to provide context

Develop economic foundational knowledge: By engaging with key terms and exploring practical applications, course concepts become more memorable

This project can be completed individually or with a partner and is a great fit for an Introduction to Business and Marketing or Marketing I course. Students will need Internet access to complete the guided research and project.
