Fact Fluency Timed Tests: Addition and Subtraction

Are your students fluent with their facts?

The new Common Core Standards require that all first grade students know their addition and subtraction facts to 10 fluently. In order to achieve this fact fluency requirement, students must practice and memorize these facts. One way of measuring if your students have learned their facts is through fact fluency assessments. You can measure your students' growth easily through this assessment tool, as a chart for tracking student levels is included. All you need is a timer!

This is structured so that students can work at their own pace through the facts. Once a student masters their fluency facts, they can move to the next level. There are multiple assessments for each of the fact levels. Students can also track their own growth by using the individual fact fluency charts included in this pack. Also included are flash cards for students to practice their facts, and certificates to send home when a student has learned their facts. Since the students systematically move through the levels, the data collected could be used for RTI progress monitoring or other data collection purposes.

This product has been updated as of 8/24/16 and has DOUBLED in size!

Though I use this in my first grade classroom, it can also be used to meet the Kindergarten fluency standard, or with struggling second graders who need more practice with their facts. You can begin this program when you go back to school, or start it at any time during the school year!
