What educators are saying

These are wonderful on my sound board for students in grade 1 FI to refer to! I love the diversity of students as well.
This has been great to have in the class! As we're following our scope and sequence for phonics instruction students are referencing the images quite a bit.

Description

This set of French sound posters feature real images to accompany the 36 French phonemes. Two poster styles are included.

Poster style 1: Three-piece posters

Each 3-piece poster includes:

  • mouth articulation image (with phoneme)
  • phoneme
  • sample vocab words to highlight graphemes (spelling patterns)

These posters provide flexibility as the three sections of the poster can be cut and separated. Two sets are included - one with spelling patterns coloured and one without. These 3-piece posters are sized two per 8.5"x11" page. Simple font allows you to add words as you go.

Poster style 2: Mouth articulation only

Larger posters featuring just the mouth articulation image and phoneme are included (sized for two per 8.5"x11" page). These are perfect for you to print and display alongside any other poster set you may be using. Alternatively, print multiple sheets per page and provide students with their own referential.

Also included:

A reference guide with organizational notes is included, as well as various sized locks for students to "unlock" the sound as sounds are being learned.

**Note that this product does not provide a scope and sequence, allowing you the flexibility to tailor these posters to your own classroom needs.

Sound walls are perfect for fostering phonemic awareness, which is a strong predictor of reading success.

Education and Experience:

My decade in the classroom has afforded me experience teaching French as an additional language from K-12, in Immersion and Core French classrooms.
