Description

This Pilgrim timeline is a quick and easy summary of the events leading up to the first Thanksgiving. Students cut and paste the timeline events in order, beginning with the departure of the Mayflower from England on September 6, 1620, through to the autumn harvest celebration in October of 1621. The timeline fits into a standard sized notebook.

Timeline events include:
1. Mayflower departure
2. Violent storms
3. Landing at Cape Cod
4. Mayflower compact signed
5. Anchoring at Plymouth Harbor
6. Meeting Samoset
7. Samoset introduces Squanto
8. Peace treaty with Chief Massasoit
9. Autumn harvest celebration with Wampanoag Indians

The timeline includes dates and also shows the winter time period when many Pilgrims perished, along with the spring and summer period when the Pilgrims learned to hunt and farm.
