Description
This hands-on activity is a fun way to practice French -er verb conjugations. Students practice present tense -er verbs by creating cut and paste sentences. This is perfect for students just learning the concept of French verb conjugation.
It reaches those kids who like manipulatives, and the act of cutting off that -er ending helps it stick that they have to have a new ending. Kids love the hands-on aspect!
Here's what the students will do:
1. They cut off the -er and glue the expression onto colored paper.
2. They choose a subject. Students must use a variety of names, pronouns, and nouns. Includes a list of over 125 common francophone first names
3. They paste on (from provided endings) the correct verb ending to create a complete sentence.
It is a fun and relaxing activity to do, and it makes for a cute bulletin board!
20 expressions in all! You can have students do all 20 sentences or assign the verbs you are practicing in class. There is a range of vocabulary to meet all of your beginners' needs.
