FLUENCY/STUTTERING SCREENING TOOL IN ENGLISH

The Descriptive Fluency Screening Tool is an informal measure of fluency skills. I have been using it for years as part of my dynamic assessment. There is a Spanish version too. If your student stutters, then this tool will help guide whether or not further testing is necessary. It will also help you track progress for MTSS/RTI. A sample summary is provided to guide you in writing the results in the eligibility report and IEP. It provides a percentage score for each type of disfluency. It includes the following:
