What educators are saying

My students were extremely engaged with this activity even over Telehealth! Fantastic visuals as well
I am constantly on the look out for FCD activities to use on my promethean board with one of my students - this worked nicely - thanks!

Description

Hello! And thank you for stopping by our Twin Speech TpT Shop to read about our new articulation/phonological process treatment resource.

This is a wonderful 49 card deck for working on the phonological process of final consonant deletion. Final consonant deletion is a type of phonological processing disorder. A phonological processing disorder occurs when a child has difficulty producing an entire class of speech sounds vs. individual sound errors. In the case of final consonant deletion, they are dropping many of their end sounds which make it difficult for them to be understood.

For this deck we have chosen to use the sound targets of: /B/, /D/, /G/, /K/, /M/, /N/, /P/ & /T/ because these sounds are more appropriate articulation targets for the younger communicator. The younger communicator (under the age of 5) is the group that we usually work with on reducing the phonological process of final consonant deletions.

We have included four different interactive cards of minimal pairs for each targeted end sound and two more fun cards that have 9 or more end sound words on them. The minimal pairs are great for increasing a student's awareness of the final sound in words.

Every card in each sound unit is different! We have drag and drops of farm animals to barns, boats to lake drops, to planting scenes. We also have space, summertime, road/transportation, and underwater-themed BINGO games. That makes this deck interesting and different and it could be used all year long! The preview will show you examples of many of these awesome cards. Please download it above.

In addition a link to a helpful contents page will make the navigation through the unit easy!

Have a fun and productive speech session using this new card deck with your students needing help with including the sounds at the end of words. Just put on a computer, tablet or phone and go for it!
