Description
These individual reading goal organizers are designed to be used during your individual reading conferencing sessions. These A-Z leveled organizers help students to see what reading skills they should focus on in order to get to the next reading level. Each reading level has specific questions for each reading skill that are designed to help students better understand and critically think about the text they are reading. Students will first choose a specific reading skill (infer, summarize, predict, etc.) to focus on when reading their independent reading books. Students will then choose a specific fiction or nonfiction question that corresponds to the reading skill to focus on as they read in order to push them to the next reading level. These questions are taken from the Fountas and Pinnell’s “The Continuum of Literacy Learning” and are Common Core aligned.
Includes:
• A-Z Fountas and Pinnell leveled individual reading goal organizers
• A-E specific Kindergarten grade level picture organizers
• A-Z leveled comprehension questions
• Sticky note tracker organizer
• Reading Log
• Sample Student Responses
This is a great way to individually differentiate reading instruction for each student and have students internalize what reading skills they need to work on in order to reach the next reading level. Students become excited when they feel they take ownership of their own learning. It was also an easy way for administrators to see differentiation as soon as they walked in my room.
