Description
This series of lessons helps students identify how to work with exponents differentiating the meaning of an exponent (repeated multiplication) verses repeated addition situations. Students are also able to work with expressions and exponents, bases that have an expression as their exponent and exponents that have exponents. The lesson identifies various ways exponents are seen in different mathematical situations. This lesson is helpful for students working with common core math goals in 5th grade, 6th grade and 7th grade.
