The types of word problems included are: exponential growth, decay, half life problems, compound interest, and determining whether a situation represents a linear or exponential growth model.
Print Task Cards on Card Stock and laminate them and cut them out. Once they are laminated they will last for a long time. Suggestion: print each set on a different color to help find missing cards when using them with groups. Put students in a group size of your choice and provide a set of Task Cards for each group. Also provide a student recording sheet for each group or for each student if you wish.
OR
Post a set of Task Cards around the room and have students walk around in groups or with a partner to solve each word problem. Provide a student sheet for recording answers and work.
