Description

In this Australia unit, students will focus on exploration integrating History, Geography, Science, Technology, ELA, Art,Math, and Citizenship/SEL lessons. The unit follows the theme of community spirit through developing awareness and involvement. These lessons extend the students' knowledge of text types such as descriptive texts and storytelling. This unit is based around the introduction of Australia as a place and the exploration of Australia’s history, its place in the world, and its rich culture. This unit is standards-aligned.

This unit is a paired-down version of our larger 20-day Australia unit. All of the activities and data in the unit are also contained in the 20-day unit. If you are seeking more art and culture the 20-day unit is more suitable.
