Are you looking for digital resources to support pragmatic language and social emotional learning? These Boom Cards decks will teach your students how to differentiate between expected and unexpected behaviors at home, school, and around the community. Understanding expected and unexpected behaviors is an important step towards self regulation and behavior management. Students in social skills groups or pragmatic language groups would benefit from this activity (including students with autism spectrum disorders). On each card, you will consider the student's behavior and decide whether it is "expected" or "unexpected". You could also practice making social inferences ("How do they feel?", "What are they thinking?") and problem solving ("What could they do?"). Boom cards are digital interactive cards that can be used on tablets, computers, laptops, interactive whiteboards and even phones!
