Description
Use this executive functioning detective workbook to teach about executive functioning skills while connecting them to real-life scenarios. This resource includes 26 scenarios for students to play detective with and find which executive functioning skills are used in each.
Students will learn about executive functioning skills and have their own "executive functioning detective magnifying glasses" to help remind them about each skill as they work through the scenarios. Each scenario includes 2 pages with additional follow-up questions, helping kids connect situations to their own life.
Digital AND Print Versions Included
Digital: The digital version in Google Drive allows educators to assign easily with Google Classroom or use digitally in the classroom.
Print: The print versions include both black/white options. Print the activities and complete them as a book.
Large version: A larger version is also included, making it easy to project each scenario to discuss as a class!

Executive functioning skills are the basis for planning, organizing, initiating, and following through will all tasks, assignments, and problems inside and outside of school. Many students who forget assignments, are disorganized, can’t complete long-term assignments, have trouble focusing, and experience difficulty with change often have weak executive functioning skills. These are the students who need to be taught explicit skills in order to become successful in school and in life after school. Simply put, executive functioning skills are necessary life skills.
