Do your students struggle with maintaining attention to tasks, making inferences, solving problems, and other executive functioning skills? These crack the code logic puzzle activities will engage kids and they will forget that they are learning.
This Boom card deck works on problem solving, critical thinking, visual scanning, and higher level executive functioning skills. This deck is designed for students 4th grade and older, but may be suitable for younger students with help.
These puzzles are perfect for occupational therapy and/or speech therapy sessions.
They can be done during 1:1 sessions or with a small group.
- Some students may need extra time to complete the puzzles. I recommend that the adult complete it first to get an idea of time needed for students, as well as to be familiar with the answers in case students need assistance.
- If a student does not complete the deck on time, they will start over from the beginning next time. In this case, it is helpful if an adult fills in the previous answers for them to help them progress to the card(s) that they need to complete.
***Updated 2.28.22 to include paper version of Sudoku puzzle. I recommend filling it out prior to starting the deck.
