What educators are saying

This is a great resource for Psychology. My students really enjoy it and the directions were easy to follow. It would work for any Psychology unit, but best fits developmental.

Description

Music motivates us, calms us, inspires us, at times irritates us. It can be the great connector across time periods. In every generation and in every culture there is a musical legacy that is passed down. Music can also be very personal. A country song may have significant meaning and might provoke a strong emotion in one person while causing another person to clap their hands around their ears to drown it out. You might think of it as the backdrop against which we live our lives.  Songs can bring vivid memories of people, places, and events from our own past and serve to document our thoughts, feelings, and emotions at a given time or place. If you were given the opportunity to tell about your life through songs, which songs would you choose? What songs best tell your story?

In this project, students use music to show their mastery of any psychology unit you choose. I typically use developmental psychology since the unit is so broad and is easy to make connections to. I usually use this in my cp psychology course, but I have used it in ap psychology as well when pressed for time.

With this product, you'll receive two versions of this project, both in PDF format. One has editable fields for digital classrooms and the other has blanks that can be filled out and copied for adding your own touches to the rubric.
