Description
This worksheet includes a background on who Hostos was, as well as what his teaching philosophy was. Students can annotate and discuss the front, and determine what kind of person he was (a thinker, a revolutionary, a patriot, etc.) They then learn his beliefs about morality, how education can lead to freedom, and how it can build relationships. This is an opportunity for students to reflect on themselves and what they can do over the year, as well as tell the teacher what they need. Great for a Puerto Rican community!
