Esperanza Rising Adapted Text & 60+ Embedded Questions, for ELLs & Special Needs

This adapted text & questions set are only to be used alongside a purchased copy of the original book. Here, adapted, abridged and modified, is the entire story of Esperanza Rising at the approximate level of Emerging and Transitioning English Language Learners. I have listed and bolded some vocabulary for each chapter, inserted several images for each chapter, and written over 60 total embedded comprehension questions or prompts to aid with comprehension while reading.

This material is designed for learners who are not ready to tackle the original text in isolation. This file may also be appropriate for some children with lower literacy and/or special needs. I spent many hours at home working on this supplement, and it worked very well for my small group of ELLs. I plan on using it for years to come.
