Eruption of Vesuvius Final Project

Final project to accompany a study of the eruption of Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii. Designed to follow Cambridge Latin Course Stage 12, but could be adapted for another textbook series or for a geography unit on volcanoes. Project asks students to undertake some independent research first (including reading and watching videos on YouTube) and then to create a diary entry, newspaper report, television interview or storyboard to show their understanding of the eruption and its consequences. Rubric included, as well as a guide to what students should be completing each lesson in the 6-lesson series. Also included is Pliny's accounts of the eruption in English.
