>> Students will first watch the 25-minute original Lorax (1972) online while answering comprehension/analysis questions. Then, they will pick their favorite, relevant environmental topics (all themes explored by The Lorax) from a menu with 14 options to complete an online research project (an 8-slide presentation with specific requirements for each slide).
Assign to individual students (great for high schoolers) or groups of students (to make it less work for middle schoolers).
>> This project can be used as an introduction to environmental studies or as an end-of-the-year project. It is also a great Earth Day project!

- a creative assessment that allows for student choice; students will define chosen topics, relate them back to the story, and research real-world examples of the topics

- an EDITABLE 5-page student guide (with all necessary links and instructions)
- an assessment task where students create slides to be submitted to their teacher (includes a rubric with detailed criteria)
