Entire Short Story Unit Bundle

This 66-page document contains all of the lesson directions, worksheets, writing assignments, notes, homework, vocabulary, assessments, and everything else you may need to complete a 3 week unit (on 77 minute blocks) on Short Stories. Taught and re-taught to my 9th graders for 8 semesters, this unit has been refined to contain the best activities and lessons for learning to read for literary elements and techniques in the 5 stories, "The Lady or the Tiger?," "The Most Dangerous Game," "The Cask of Amontillado," "The Lottery," and "The Veldt" (from the novel, Illustrated Man). The activity, while it contains games and activities, is very scholarly in its study of reading, writing, and listening for literary elements and techniques. The unit would most definitely fit grades 7-9, but could be used for lower level 10th or 11th grade classes.
