Entire B-year curriculum for IB Spanish IV / V SL / HL classes (2020 curriculum)
- Word Document File
Description
Over the past several years I've compiled my lessons for my Spanish IV and V International Baccalaureate (IB) / Bachillerato Internacional classes. This product is for AN ENTIRE YEAR'S WORTH OF LESSONS AND RESOURCES FOR IB SPANISH CLASSES!! You will never have to create another IB lesson plan, as this will guide you through the entire year with every single resource that you will need!!!
Lessons updated to 2020-2026: These lesson plans reflect the changes in the new testing format starting 2020. Changes have been made to lessons and the free resources that come in the google doc folder. The following changes have been made:
* Individual oral: SL pictures no longer have legend, HL has quotes to practice
* Comprensión auditiva: I've created different listening activities for each unit based on the new Prueba 2 format of 5 styles of questions, which will be 25% of their IB grade. In some units the grammar quizzes include auditory quizzes as well.
* Prueba de lecturas: each unit has reading practices to prepare students for Prueba 2, which will be 25% of their IB grade.
* Interactive orals: though these oral exams are no longer required for IB, they are left in the lessons to help students practice authentic conversations and to prepare them better for the individual oral, which will be 25% of their overall grade.
* Prueba 2 - all unit tests are formatted after Prueba 1, in which students will have 3 options of text types for each theme (on the actual exam there will only be 3 options of themes instead of 5). This is to prepare students better for Paper 1, which is 25% of their IB exam.
* Proyectos de extensión: some units will contain extension projects to help students reread, resummarze, find quotes, and present on major events of chapters from the literature to prepare for the individual oral (HL only).
They are written for 90-minute lesson plans, for both HL and SL Spanish, but can be divided in half for non-block classes. They are incredibly detailed, meticulous and specific on how to teach students in. They are written in Spanish. Normally each individual unit is sold for $40 including free materials, so purchased separately the 11 units would cost $440. However if you purchase this bundle it only costs $355, which saves almost $100!
If you order the lessons from me, I'll send you a google drive folder with all of the activities that go along with them, so you don't have to purchase them separately - one flat fee! AFTER YOU PURCHASE THE LESSONS, YOU MUST EMAIL ME AT lacasadeaprendizaje@gmail.com SO I CAN SEND YOU THE LINK TO THE DOWNLOADABLE FOLDER WITH ALL THE RESOURCES FOR THE UNITS OF STUDY. The folder includes everything that you should need to teach the whole chapter! However if you don't email me, I can't send you the free materials!!

Lessons are e-learning compatible: These lessons are increasingly compatible with e-learning, online classes. If you are using a closed-system online educational system such as Canvas or Blackboard, I have created a YouTube page on how to use these lessons for digital, online Spanish classes. I will share how to integrate these lessons into a format that supports distance learning with students. Please see my YouTube channel below with tips and tricks on how to integrate these lessons into an e-learning environment:
La casa de aprendizaje YouTube channel:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM4OMNvR5affuHUE12MkiGw/videos
As the need arises, I will update with new videos to help support more ways to utilize these lessons using specifically Canvas, but are also adaptable to other online educational systems, such as Blackboard, etc. If you have any questions, have ideas or have other needs for adapting to online e-learning, please email me at lacasadeaprendizaje@gmail.com and I will try to update with more videos to support electronic learning.
I would ask, though, that you please only utilize lessons and materials using a CLOSED-systems in which students need to sign in to access the lesson and materials to prevent access to the lessons and resources by others. Thanks for your understanding and help.
