Business Management Degree from Texas A&M University Master's in Marriage & Family Therapy Counseling from ACU
I have always enjoyed creative outlets in my life. My mom owned her own scrap booking business growing up, so I found my first creative outlet through scrap booking. I loved cutting, taping, and making a book full of memories beautiful. Later on I moved onto making lanyards, then to knitting scarves, and crocheting hats. All of these things allowed me to clear my mind and access my creative self. When I entered into college at Texas A&M University in 2013 (Gig 'em!) I studied business. I had some friends in my classes already starting their own businesses and creating calligraphy products during school. Ever since then, running some type of business has always been in the back of my mind. I just didn't know how to make it possible. After I finished my business degree, I went on to study Marriage & Family Therapy Counseling at Abilene Christian University between 2017-2019. This was a growing experience all around. I learned how to view people, relationships, and the world through a different lens than I ever would have been able to had I not gone through that experience. I counseled many individuals, couples, and families at a Marriage & Family Clinic in Abilene for those two years. After I finished my degree, I got a job in higher education at Abilene Christian University. I decided to take a break from counseling. I needed to take a breath from the marathon of a program I had just completed and work a normal job for a while. Self care, right? Once the corona virus outbreak started, I began to hear thoughts around the many people struggling in their relationships or with their mental health during quarantine. This made my heart hurt for those people and I wanted to do something that could make a difference with what I had learned in my counseling education and career. These therapeutic resources in my shop were created to help couples, individuals, therapists, professors or other mental health workers. I hope to help make a difference in people's lives through these products. After about an 11 month break, I am now getting back into my counseling career and loving it. I am a current Mental Health Therapist at a Counseling Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. My focus is currently on older teens and adult individuals. The amazing thing about my current job is there are so many training opportunities with different focuses in the mental health world. I am excited to continue to create new products as I learn new things through these trainings. Be on the look out! :) This is the heart behind my shop! I truly enjoy creating and helping others. I hope you will give me a chance to hopefully make an impact on you! <3
