This is a collection of worksheets for ESL/EFL/ELL students to learn vocabulary, common phrases/idioms and practice their listening skills from some popular English music hits. Great for Intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced level students.
Each lesson has 6 sections;
1. New Vocabulary – definitions and example sentences of some of the key words and phrases in the song.
2. Listening – Listen and read the song lyrics, and fill in the blanks
3. Matching – Matching key phrases and idiomatic expressions to their meanings
4. Rhyming – Searching for the rhyming words in the song and deciding whether they are a full or half-rhymes.
5. Comprehension questions about the song, and a chance for the student to write a short paragraph of their own opinion on a topic raised by the song
6. Read the lyrics and sing along!
This 59-page booklet includes worksheets on 10 of the biggest selling pop hits of 2019, and full answer pages. Each worksheet uses the clean version of the song, so can be used with children. This booklet includes lessons on:
