What educators are saying

These are fantastic for my sub plans. They are engaging for students, short enough that they don't lose focus, and easy enough for a substitute to monitor and teach. And I NEVER run out!
Awesome resource, I've used it especially for easy sub plans and days when there isn't time for a full lesson. Great product!

Middle school English and Language Arts teachers, this bundle is for you! It contains EIGHTY varied, creative, lengthy, and classroom-tested "print and go/no prep" printables that can be easily used by any substitute or regular classroom teacher. These NO PREP resources work with you there or with you gone and this may well be the only supplemental resource you will ever need as a middle school ELA teacher! There is work that students can do alone and independently, in groups, or as a whole class activity. Each printable is two-six pages and was created to take 30 minutes or more depending on the teacher's interest in being involved in the activity. If any background is needed by the students before they begin, they will find it all there in the instructions. Answers for everything provided! This is the perfect collection to leave in a binder or folder for unexpected absences or for yourself when you just need something for an open day! Please download the PREVIEW to see the full Table of Contents (including best instructional setting and the language/literature skills practiced for each activity) and several samples from this resource!

Yes, there are now EIGHTY different activities/printables and 300+ pages in this bundle, including over 20 informational text readings and assessments, pages and pages of figurative language work, vocabulary building, spelling activities, and fun and engaging ELA games and creative learning activities for middle schoolers. There is more than enough here! Plus, we all have our own preferences and needs as teachers, and this varied collection gives you the ability to choose exactly what works best for you!

****NOTE: A very few of these products are available individually in my TPT store. Please review the Table of Contents so you do not end up buying doubles of anything. Thank you!***

This is my downtime go-to! If we finish an activity with 10+ minutes left in class, I'll project some of the word puzzles on screen and we'll play along together as a class. If I need a last-minute sub plan, I'll print off something for the class to work on independently. If I just need to break up the monotony of the week with something fun and still skills-focused, I find something fun for us to work on together. There are so many variations of ELA activities, and I love that it exposes my students to new information we would never get to talk about in class (we especially love the articles about words from other languages!). This is a great resource that has been so, so helpful to have in my back pocket. Thank you for creating it!

This is AWESOME! When it says no prep, it really means no prep! I have found that a lot of the "no prep" stuff still requires the students to know a lot of the concepts and are therefore unusable until later in the year when I've taught the concept. That is not the case with this! If the students can read, they can do anything in the packet! I'm using this for emergency sub assignments in case of Covid absences. I can copy these a head of time and know that my students will be able to do any of the assignments and it will not require a substitute who is probably not certified to help them. Thank You so much for actually have a truly "NO PREP" packet!

Not only was this great for a sub, I have printed and used these myself when I had time to kill- during testing week, for example. The activities are engaging and interesting, but they don't take any prep. Just print and go!

This really is worth the money. This is A LOT of interesting information and will keep the kids very busy. GREAT JOB! It gets even better than the preview. Thank you for the bundle and the free stuff yet to come!! I will use for sub plans but also for when I am there. I'm not going to miss out on all the fun ;)

These look great! With the impending snow storms and surprise stomach bugs, I am glad to have these relevant and comprehensive activities for my students to complete if I ever have an unplanned absence. I think a substitute can follow these easily. I know the day is not a waste, and the kids will actually learn something. Thank you!

This product is one of those rare items that deserves an A+ and five stars. Quantity meets quality here, and the price...worth every single dollar. Lots of sub plans to be sure. As it is with my favorite TpT sellers, I guess Mr. Aaron will get his own binder on my much valued (and envied) shelf of 'Go-To' lessons for my ninth grade English class. Thank you for your hard work. Your product certainly provides real stress relief.

Excellent resource and HUGE time saver! All you have to do is make copies! I used a "sub tub" and had file folders with copies of about 8 of these lessons ready to go at the start of the school year. These lessons, paired with a Sub Info binder, made my sub plans so simple. All I did was write, "Take the first file folder out of the sub tub." DONE! Worth every penny!

This is worth every penny…I was sick for a week, and this was a huge help.

AMAZING. I am so glad I purchased these. I feel comfortable leaving these if I need to go out of town. Last year, I needed to go to another state for 12 days and I was staying until all hours making items.

i'm new to middle school this year and needed to put together a no sub binder for those days that teachers dread. After looking at a few other products and this one, I strongly feel that this one is the most comprehensive and challenging enough for all of my students. i can't wait to put it together! Thanks

This is a fabulous resource! I love knowing I have sub plans that aren't "fluff." These are meaningful, useful activities.

Listen to the feedback! This is such an amazing resource. I've already printed and am making copies for my upcoming sub days!

Awesome resource and great for getting those sub folders ready at the beginning of the year (when you've got a million other things to do too)!! Thank you!

Wow, wow, and WOW! Exactly what I was looking for! Will work perfectly if and when I have to be absent. Thanks so much!

These activities are perfect for when I have a sub unexpectedly! They keep my students busy all hour, but aren't so complicated that a sub can't help out.

Fabulous! Completely gives me peace of mind to know I have weeks' worth of lesson plans at my fingertips should I need them. Thank you for the great work and volume! :)

What stands out about this is that the activities aren't just low-prep and classroom time-consuming (although they are both, which is a good feature in sub plans). They're actually really fun! I find myself interested in them, especially the idioms and puzzle-type ones. Most are not too young for my ninth graders, either.

AMAZING-AMAZING-AMAZING This product is filled with so many wonderful opportunities. Well worth the money. I am using it as an enrichment for students that do not leave the room for remediation. They are working with partners and totally enjoying it. My principal walked through a couple of days ago and was impressed at the engagement of students.

I cannot get over the depth and usefulness of this resource. I am a speech-language pathologist and many of my goals overlap with ELA. I love this because it allows me to pick and choose the skills and address them discreetly, as need be.
