English I STAAR EOC Student Review Study Guide

The attached review guide is designed to expose students and teachers to the English I STAAR Assessed Curriculum by reviewing skills and providing sample questions that address each skill.

This 24-page document outlines the reading and writing skills, provides sample passages with originally-created EOC questions, answer keys with explanations, and state rubrics and examples. The state samples and rubrics at the end of the file are available for free at the TEA website, but are included for student convenience in this file.

I assign packets to students throughout the review session to complete individually, at home, or as a class. This is also an excellent resource for parents who are interested in reviewing skills with their child before the state assessment.
