Engineering Design Challenge: Building Creek and Cherokee Homes

Allow students to explore engineering as they research about Creek and Cherokee homes, and choose one type of home to design and build. Students then get to test the strength and stability of their home against various types of weather. This powerpoint includes narration within the notes to give additional lesson planning tips for each component of the engineering design process. A rubric is also included which measures students' knowledge regarding the Creek and Cherokee Native Americans, use of the Engineering Design Process, and collaboration.
