Are you using Engage New York Math? Then this resource of math newsletters and no prep games in ENGLISH and SPANISH will help you support your families while teaching 2nd Grade ENY Math Module 3. These will help make communication with your student's families easy for you & they will love being able to get involved in what their child is learning about in math.

Additionally, you will get 7 vocabulary posters focusing on place value! The posters are written using student-friendly language and are great to use when introducing new vocabulary during your math lessons and/or to create a word wall for a math bulletin board.

This download includes:

FOUR parent letters that correlate with the concepts taught in Engage New York Module 3 for Second grade.

★Letters are written in English and Spanish.

★Each letter discusses the key concepts and vocabulary terms that will be taught throughout the Module. These letters are a great way to introduce parents to the new terms and vocabulary being taught.

★Additionally, a print-and-play game can be attached to each of the letters. Each game includes simple directions to play and require simple materials to play (i.e. markers to keep each player's place on the game board). Games are designed to reinforce key skills students will learn in the Module. Games can also be used during math centers, or small group extra support, as they align with the concepts taught in the module.

Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
Compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
