Description

If you’re interested in organizing a Community Service Project for the end of the year for your school, this is a quick and easy one to organize.

Let’s face it, sometimes, we just want our older kids to go help someone, and sometimes the younger kids’ teachers are thankful to have any end of the year help they can get.

I’ve included one with a 5th grade title and one with a 6th grade title, just in case the last grade in your school is one or the other.

___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.___.

>>>Simply fill out the date, and whom teachers should return this to (you?). Then, make copies (Astrobrights are a great choice of paper so it doesn’t get lost in end of the year chaos), and put in teachers’, and other staff’s mail box. (Don’t forget custodians, secretaries, paras, librarians, etc. They might need help too!)

>>>Collect the forms and start assigning your kids to the various jobs once the requests are fully in. That way, you can spread the wealth (and the kids) as needed.

>>>On the day, each child gets an assignment slip, and he/she will go to perform it.

My students felt really empowered when they got their assignments. I was in charge of assigning the entire 5th grade last year and was able to assign over 60 children to jobs.

Enjoy!
