What educators are saying

This is a great activity for the first week of school! It lets students be dramatic, and it gives me an idea of what we need to work on in class in terms of their writing.
Such a fun activity to end the school year with. When I first started talking about breaks ups they were so confused.

Description

Looking for an engaging end of the year activity that lets students reflect on the highs and lows of their year? This high-interest lesson and activity has students saying goodbye to the previous school year, and hello to the new school year. In this zero-prep activity, students write a breakup letter to the previous school year, citing its offenses and why they are looking forward to their lives with the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

This is a great way for students to reflect on the challenges/successes they encountered in the previous school year, all while setting new intentions. Even my most checked-out learners end up highly engaged, and leaving the classroom raving about the activity.
