Description

Celebrate the end of the school year with a Bubble Gum Themed Day for grades 3 and 4 while reinforcing essential skills in reading, writing, and math with this engaging, multi-disciplinary unit.

This bubble gum integration unit was created with the intention of having an end-of-the-year review day with 3rd and 4th graders, but it can easily be adapted to fit any time of year!

use this grammar learning game for students to practice sorting sentences by the underlined modifier on the gumball

★Sticky Angles Game

students will play this fun math game to identify angles as right, acute, or obtuse, and must move spaces based on rolling a prime or composite number

★Graph Class Bubbles

students blow as many bubbles as they can in one minute, make a line plot, then tally and bar graph on their own

★Mentor Text: On Account of the Gum

Read the book, On Account of the Gum by Adam Rex, and practice fun reading skills with the activities provided to identify cause and effect, get creative to continue the story, as well as think of a new solution

**a mentor sentence is NOT included because the unit is designed for just one day of use**

★Writing Piece

students write about being trapped in a gumball machine
