What educators are saying

These are such awesome worksheets! I work at a vocational-technical high school and am incorporating these worksheets several times a week into my English class to expose my students with disabilities to new real-life scenarios each week.
I appreciated how simplified these activities were. They provided a good prompt to get my students talking and coming up with examples for application of presented skills.

Description

Employability skills activities and worksheets for life skills help your students get ready for work. They can learn how to apply employability skills at work in lots of different workplace scenarios. There is a print and go option or a digital Easel option for online access.

Employability skills are not mastered by magic - they need to be explicitly taught as part of the class program for Grade 9 - 12 over a period of time to ensure they are mastered.

What are the employability (soft) skills?

There are many different employability skills. Here are some of the most important for a young person to learn before they enter a workplace for the first time:

  • Workplace communication
  • Teamwork
  • Working with diverse groups
  • Innovation
  • Problem solving
  • Creativity
  • Time management
  • Using and managing technology

The employability skills activities and worksheets can be printed and laminated so that students can discuss and plan which employability skills are needed, and present their ideas to a class. They are easy to read and cover a wide range of workplace types, including automotive, horticulture, childcare, hospitality and retail.

Who is it for?

The employability skills activities and worksheets are ideal for using with:
