Introducing the Emotional-regulation review packet for the end of year! This resource includes three activities: a feelings check-in, writing prompts, and matching game. It covers eight emotionshappy, sad, mad, worried, tired, grumpy, surprised, and scared. It promotes social-emotional learning skills such as emotional literacy, regulation, and identification. WHAT’S INCLUDED:

  • A PDF with TOU, information on the product, and 3 activities.
  • 1 page of feelings check-in.
  • 2 pages of emotion flash cards with 8 emotions. The emotions include: grumpy, mad, sad, happy, surprised, worried, tired, and scared.
  • 16 pages of a writing activity for each emotion.

HOW TO USE:

  • Feelings Check-In:
    • Students will write how they are feeling and draw that expression.
    • Teaches students to identify their own feelings

  •  Emotions Flash Cards:
    • Teaches students to connect the name of the feeling with its expression.
    • Includes 8 emotions: grumpy, sad, mad, happy, tired, worried, surprised, and scared.
    • Students can use the black & white versions to color in the face.

  • Emotion Writing Activities:
    • There is a writing activity for each 8 emotions.
    • Asks students to finish the sentence: I feel [emotion here] because. 
    • Teaches students to understand each emotion by connecting it to an experience and memory.

  • You can use these together or as separate supportive materials. All activities would fit into social-emotional learning, morning work, check-ins/check-outs, beside a story, etc.
