HOW TO USE:
- Feelings Check-In:
- Students will write how they are feeling and draw that expression.
- Teaches students to identify their own feelings
- Emotions Flash Cards:
- Teaches students to connect the name of the feeling with its expression.
- Includes 8 emotions: grumpy, sad, mad, happy, tired, worried, surprised, and scared.
- Students can use the black & white versions to color in the face.
- Emotion Writing Activities:
- There is a writing activity for each 8 emotions.
- Asks students to finish the sentence: I feel [emotion here] because.
- Teaches students to understand each emotion by connecting it to an experience and memory.
- You can use these together or as separate supportive materials. All activities would fit into social-emotional learning, morning work, check-ins/check-outs, beside a story, etc.
