This is a three-lesson unit by Reading Through History. The first lesson tells the story of the murder of Emmett Till and the subsequent trial that ensued. The second lesson is a biography of Rosa Parks, and the third describes the story and triumph of the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The download includes enough material for three to four days of a history or reading class. The unit contains 13 pages of student activities that involve: guided reading materials, constructed response paragraphs, true and false questions, vocabulary activities, and multiple-choice quizzes to gauge reading comprehension.
