The was a great complement to the resources I had for this texts. Students found this resource engaging.

Description

*****Newly UPDATED, REVAMPED, and NOW INCLUDING 1:1 RESOURCES AND DISTANCE LEARNING MATERIALS! Over 200 pages with PDF Files and Google Links containing activities, organizers, writing opportunities, questions, and a summative assessment!

“Eleven” by Sandra Cisneros is a perfect story for middle school students! This resource includes EVERYTHING you need to teach this text, both in person AND using distance learning.

This resource is extremely low prep, includes resources for daily journals, reading and writing tasks, and daily exit slips. A daily Google Slide presentation to display throughout each day’s lesson is also included. This fun presentation includes the daily journal, exit slip question, and directions or reminders for EACH task!

The daily reading and writing tasks work as formative assessments for each skill. This resource includes materials for 12 days! Lesson plans are included for the 12 days, meant to be used with a block schedule (reading and writing combined). The lessons end with an editable multiple choice assessment, and a poetry connection with relevant poems. Your students will LOVE these activities and you will love that everything you need to teach this text is included and ready to go! Most materials also include learning targets (pages come with and without the targets so you can select which works best for you).

All organizers and activities can be done individually, with partners, during small group work, as literacy station activities, or any other way you can imagine.
