Elements of Music Listening Guide
Description
Guide the way your students listen to music.
There are many ways to use this, however my favourite is - after establishing the elements of music - picking a snippet of a song and guiding the class to colour a portion of the element they hear. Pause the song and then discuss where they heard the musical element. Go back to the start and pick a different element.
With older students, you could print this A5 on an A4 and have older students draw lines out to document where they heard it in the song (if it has words).
Another way would be to upload it to an educational platform like Seesaw and students can colour it in digitally, or record themselves colouring it in as they heard the song. It would make for long assessment checking, but great for parents to discuss what their child heard.
