Description

This resource was originally developed as an early finisher board for grades 5-8. These activities can be completed as a component of online learning at home. For more information, please read the detailed description below.

The NO-FUSS EARLY FINISHER BOARD is the EASIEST and FASTEST early finisher enrichment choice board available, designed so that you can prepare an entire year’s worth of activities in less than an hour. This early finisher board is appropriate for most upper elementary/junior high/middle school students (grades 5-8).*

This resource includes 160 unique activities (40 full weeks) divided into four categories: Create! Write! Solve! and Research! Also included are banners for your bulletin board, an answer key for Solve! questions, and instructions for getting started.

It was designed to be TEACHER FRIENDLY:

- formatted on 8.5” x 11” paper and in black and white to avoid printing issues

- all activities are the exact same size to make cutting quick and easy

- all activities are compiled into a single PDF document to simplify printing

- no additional photocopying required

Some of the topics covered in the complete NO-FUSS EARLY FINISHER BOARD include:

Math: problem-solving, puzzles, multiplication/division, fractions, decimals, percentages, patterns

Language arts: creative writing, persuasive writing, descriptive writing, informational writing, procedural writing, poetry, letters

Social studies: historic events, historical figures, human rights, religious celebrations, world studies

Science: animals and nature, space, conservation, weather

Art: various styles (cubism, pointillism, stained glass, scratch art, blind contour, etc.) and forms (posters, comics, ornaments, cover art, etc.)

Health: healthy eating, exercise, sports

*These activities were originally developed for a grade 6 classroom but should be appropriate for most upper elementary and middle school classrooms. Please ensure that the activities are appropriate for your students by checking out the sample activities provided. A blank template is included if you find that an activity is unsuitable for your students.
