Elementary STEM Bundle - Paper Airplanes and Shoemaking

Two STEM projects designed from primary students: one for creating paper airplanes and one for designing made-to-measure shoes! These activities cover measurement, properties of matter, applied technology and design, brainstorming, making predictions, and tracking data, all while allowing students to have fun and get creative!

When designing paper airplanes, students will have to plan the creation of their planes in advance, justify why they chose certain materials, make predictions about their planes, test their planes and record data, reflect on their planes, and finally, revise and make new planes to test again!

When creating shoes, students will measure their feet, brainstorm what materials make a good shoe, and finally create a shoe of their own, fitted to their feet!
