What educators are saying

This was my first year teaching Child Development. Students enjoyed this project, although many found it difficult.
My students loved this! They loved that they had to care for a "baby" without it actually screaming all the time. The packet was great and easy to work with! 10/10 would recommend to any teacher!

Description

Included is a 5-day egg-baby project that requires much more of the student than simply carrying an egg around from class to class. They have to create necessary objects for the egg (car seat, crib, blankets, clothes, act) and also have a great deal of reflection to do about parenting. Each day the teacher fills in a little information about how often and how long the baby was up for the night before, and makes sure that the egg is still in good shape. During the evening, students complete questions that make them reflect about their own readiness for parenting.

(I always sign the eggs in a water-proof marker to make sure that the egg that comes back is the one that went out.)

With this booklet, you only need to buy and sign a couple dozen eggs and you're on your way to an excellent real-life learning opportunity!
