Students really enjoyed learning about new careers and exploring various education options that would lead to different career paths.
This was a great supplement to my Career Exploration unit. It was great for them to start thinking about the amount of preparation required for careers. Especially in terms of monetary investment.
Description
These classroom guidance lessons are a great way to teach students about different levels of education! In lesson 1, students learn about the requirements for 5 levels of education (high school diploma, vocational certification, undergraduate college degree, Master's degree, and doctoral degree). In lesson 2, students read about the interests, values, daily tasks, education level and more of 25 community helpers across the 5 levels of education!
Includes 2 lesson plans (objectives, outline, materials list, ASCA standards alignment, objectives assessment checklists), PowerPoint presentation slides, all necessary handouts and visual aids, and options for interactive notebooks. These activities can be used with or without interactive notebooks.
