A lovely activity for my phonics group and SEN students. The font meant I had to resize a lot of the eggs or words though which took up quite a bit of time. In future, I would print off the blank eggs and write over them myself.
Description
Egg Flip Directions:
The students will…
- Place the eggs face down.
- Flip the egg over with spatula or tongs.
- Read the word. “Order Up for ___!”
- Write the word on the recording sheet.
Ideas:
- Give them chef hats to wear while they work, or a plastic glove for an added challenge.
- Give them paper plates to flip the words on.
- Have them “take orders” for their friends.
- Only print the blank ones and have your students help write the words.
- Back them with tan paper circle so they will be easier to cut after lamination. Students can pretend they are pancakes that turn into eggs.
