I have found so much success with behavior management when I focus on positive behavior! This document is a simple, engaging way to reward students for positive behavior choices and keep track of rewards earned!
Tips for usage:
o Create individual behavior folders to store this positive behavior tracker OR hole bunch this document and store it in a folder students already have in class daily!
o Set a procedure for when you will let the students communicate with you that they have a reward. Our class checks in during the morning or during dismissal. Explain it is not appropriate to announce that they’ve earned a reward during class. the reward of their choice on the lines to the right of the chart.
o Your decisions for how many shades or stickers they will earn can be completely random or predetermined. I give 3 shades for completed homework each morning, and 1 shade for being on time. Students also randomly earn 10 shades for being role models! You have the autonomy to do what feels right for you!
