Description

Recorder Fingering - Old MacDonald song and lyrics

This beginner recorder music is transcribed as it is most often taught in schools. The song arrangement mirrors the most popular recorder program used in schools. The notes used are D, E, G, A and B .

✫ all bars are numbered..that's a big help when you're teaching a class.
✫ big notation
✫ all note names and a duplicate with no note names
✫ colored notes with corresponding colored recorder
✫ fun recorders showing the fingering for the notes
✫ crisp images (still gorgeous when using an "economy ink" setting)
✫ beautiful projections (300 dpi )
✫ low ink usage duplicate
✫ written on Lilypond (software which renders the highest-quality sheet music)
✫ six classroom-practice mp3's at 80, 90 100, 110, 120, 130 beats-per-minute (tempo)

A "Teacher Key" is also included. I recommend you use a translucent recorder when you show your students.

You may want to play this song as duet.

Good to know:

I'm always looking for the best way to transition from one song to the next. It's how I get the most out of my students and concepts to flow together seamlessly.

Hot Cross Buns – harmony 2 is a good way to just introduce the notes in Old MacDonald.

Bingo is another song to pair with Old MacDonald. What I like about it is, the simple pick-up measure, a couple of 8th notes and the tie at the very end...a bit of everything. It even sounds somewhat like Old MacDonald, and it's just as fun to play.
