Early Explorers of Canada

This packet focuses on some of the important early explorers of Canada. Explorers covered include: Leif Erikson, John Cabot, Jacques Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, Henry Hudson, and James Cook.

Two versions are included: with years and without years. Use the ones without years to assess students' learning. (Timeline Cards not shown in the Preview.)

Each explorer is given:

• a reading passage

• a reading comprehension

• geography (except James Cook)

These worksheets can be printed and combined in a booklet. A black-and-white cover page is provided for students to color. Simply print and staple. Minimal color has been used for easy printing. Some maps do contain color, which may be necessary to complete the answers.
