    Description

    This bundle includes engaging and comprehensible stories for your classes. Each story focuses not only on high frequency words and expressions but also on vocabulary related to colors, seasons, animals, numbers, feelings, parts of the body, emotions, families, celebrations and more! This bundle also includes digital and printable resources. Each resource includes teaching tips and a variety of extension activities: crafts, games, mini-books, coloring pages, props to act out the stories and more. This bundle can be used as a curriculum itself!

    In this bundle you will find the following stories:

    1. ¡Qué nombre tan bonito!: The story focuses on high-frequency questions and structures such as "¿Cómo te llamas?", "Me llamo" and "Gracias." This story is great to help your students introduce themselves in Spanish.

    2. La ardilla y la bellota: This story is perfect to bring the beauty of the autumn season to your classes. Students will be exposed to some fall vocabulary such as café, amarillo, verde, anaranjado, ardilla, bellota and hoja. This story also focuses on some high-frequency words: está, quiere and busca

    3. Yo soy un pavo: This story is based on one of my songs (audio included) and invites students to move a lot!

    4. El muñeco de nieve: Two friends meet to make a snow person and have fun in the cold! This story focuses on high-frequency words such as mira, aquí and hay. Students will also learn some vocabulary related to parts of the body (ojos, nariz and boca) and some clothing items (bufanda and sombrero).

    5. La Marimonda: This is a short story that will teach your students about La Marimonda, a character from a famous Colombian carnival.This colorful story focuses on high-frequency words such as hay and dónde. Colors and parts of the face vocabulary are also found in the story.

    6. Corazón de melón: This is a fun story that, while themed for Friendship/ Valentine's Day, reinforces high-frequency phrases such as "¿Dónde estás" and "Aquí estoy". This story is short and has a lot of repetitions.

    7. Los pollitos: This resource can be used at any time during the school year! It is great to use along with the traditional song "Los pollitos dicen.

    8. ¿De qué color soy?: This story is perfect for introducing or reviewing vocabulary related to colors and fruits. The story is simple but engaging and students love predicting the colors of the chameleon. Perfect to welcome el verano to your classes!

    The story focuses on high-frequency words such as soy, estoy and me gusta.

    9. ¿Dónde está el fantasma? : This story is a quick and perfect story to use before, during or after Halloween. Students will be expose to vocabulary such as fantasma, araña, luna, gatito, calabaza, búho, murciélago and gato.

    10. Me gusta como soy: This is a great activity to talk with your students about how unique we all are! This resource introduces the children to learn that we all have different skin colors and why everyone is unique. It is an opportunity to talk with your students about melanin, plus you will see that your younger students will enjoy saying the word "melanina" a lot!

    11. Cinco calabazas: This resource can be used at any moment in the school year. It's a fun way to practice emotions.

    12. La iguana come lechuga: This short story is repetitive and engaging your students will enjoy iguana's journey looking for lechuga.

    13. La luces brillan ya: This resource is a great tool for students to learn about other traditions and for them to understand that we live in a diverse country and not everyone celebrates Christmas.

    14. Frida Kahlo: This is a short presentation about Frida Kahlo. The presentation includes the link to take a virtual tour inside La Casa Azul en Coyoacán! This also includes a short story about Frida's life.

    16. El árbol furioso: This is the retelling of a fable called "The Grumpy Tree. It introduces and/or reviews the following the following vocabulary:

    Animals: elefante, tigre, pájaro

    Emotions: furioso, triste, sorprendido, feliz

    High frequency words and structures: dice, no me gusta, ayuda, ¿dónde estás?

    17. Las familias: This resource features and celebrates different types of families. It's great to introduce family vocabulary to elementary students. This packet also gives students the opportunity to work on their own family trees in a less traditional way.
